Helen Griffin
Veterinary Surgeon/Clinical Director
BVetMed MRCVS GP CertSAPHelen qualified from Royal Veterinary College in London in 2001. She enjoys the variety of cases seen in a busy general practice. Helen is our Senior Vet and Clinical Director. Outside of work Helen loves cooking, baking and being outdoors spending time with family and friends. The team describe Helen as being thorough, amazing, focused, kind and supportive.

Rachel Armer
Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVSRachel joined us in April 2024. She qualified from Liverpool vet school in 2018 and has been working in a variety of small animal practices since. She has two very lovely dogs of her own and one lovely kitty cat. Rachel enjoys baking and running. The team describe Rachel as understanding, hard working, sunshine in human form, chill and caring.

Stephanie Hill
Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSSteph joined the Lancaster Vets team in January 2025, after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012. Steph has worked as a small animal veterinary surgeon in a number of practices, during this time she developed an interest in small animal internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. She particularly enjoys consulting and building relationships with clients. The team describe Steph as being patient, helpful, conscientious, caring and fantastic.

Samantha Kenny
Practice Manager
RVN CertNCS(VPM) DipNCS(VBM)Sam qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1992 and joined the Lancaster Vets team in 2006. She has always worked in small animal practice, as a head nurse and as a clinical coach for student nurses. Sam has a keen interest in dog behaviour and training. In 2020 Sam took on the role of Practice Manager alongside her nursing duties. She lives with her partner Phil, dog Fiadh and cat Stumpee. The team describe Sam as focused, cheerful, caring, dedicated and compassionate.

Clare Burrows
Head Nurse
RVN Cert VN ECC ISFM DipFN & AdvCertFBClare joined the team in 2012. She started working in practice in 1999 and since then she has worked in a variety of private and charity practices, as a head nurse and a clinical coach for student nurses, and has achieved a wide range of qualifications. Clare is the ISFM Cat Advocate for the practice – having quite a soft-spot for all thing feline! The team describe Clare as being dedicated, caring, enthusiastic, hardworking and helpful.

Leanne Hartley
Veterinary Nurse
RVNLeanne qualified in 2017 and joined the Lancaster Vets team in 2019. Leanne has gained several qualifications in canine sport massage therapy and rehabilitation. She still has a big interest in physiotherapy and is always expanding her knowledge in this field! Leanne is one of our canine arthritis ambassadors, providing bespoke support to pets and clients within our mobility clinics. The team describe Leanne as being kind, caring, helpful, passionate and a good listener.

Robyn Scott
Deputy Head Nurse
RVNRobyn joined the nursing team in 2020 shortly after qualifying from Myerscough. Robyn is our prep room lead keeping our operations and procedures running smoothly. She loves cats and has several of her own! In her spare time Robyn enjoys paddle-boarding and taking Alan the dachshund for adventures. The team describe Robyn as being reliable, loving, determined, amazing and compassionate.

Meg Holt
Veterinary Nurse
RVNMeg trained at Lancaster Vets in 2013. She has worked in several small animal practices since then, but has now come back to join our nursing team. Meg loves consulting and supporting clients with their pet care needs. Meg is described by the rest of the team as being marvellous, thoughtful, positive, warm hearted and reassuring.

Amy Whittingham
Veterinary Care Assistant
Amy joined us in 2015 after working at a local kennels for five years. Amy studied at Myerscough College, completing a National Diploma in Animal Care and a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Amy supports the clinical team in her Veterinary Care Assistant role and also supports the reception team with her reception duties. The team describe Amy as being organised, dedicated, caring, calm and capable.

Suzi Snowdon
Reception Team Leader
AVRSuzi joined the team in 2022. She has lots of experience as a receptionist and is a great asset to our front of house team. Suzi loves animals and has her own cat, Lord Slugginton! The team describe Suzi as being gentle, caring, empathetic, respectful and thoughtful.

Karen Farley
Receptionist
Karen joined Lancaster Vets in October 2005 after moving to the area from Wakefield, where she worked as a financial administrator. She says that the advert to work with us “jumped out of the page”! Karen lives with her husband Bob and has a grown up son, Richard. She also has a Labrador called Dave! The team describe Karen as being supportive, dedicated, amazing, fabulous and diligent.

Katy Yare
Receptionist
Katy joined the team in October 2014 having worked as a carer and personal assistant. She doesn’t have pets but is constantly being persuaded by our clients to change that! She initially came to Lancaster in 2010 to study at the University of Cumbria, but has never left and lives locally with husband Alex and 3 sons. Katy is described by the team as being caring, kind, calm, efficient and helpful.

Rachel Westworth
Receptionist/Veterinary Care Assistant
Rachel joined the reception team in 2020. She loves her reception duties but she also helps out the clinical team in her role as a Veterinary Care Assistant. She enjoys walking Oscar, the cockerpoo, at the weekends. The team describe Rachel as being eager, lovely, cheerful, sensitive and friendly.

Veterinary Care Assistant/Student Veterinary Nurse
Lily started off with the practice gaining work experience whilst getting ready for university and now she’s working with us on Saturdays to provide help and support where we need it! Lily has now joined us whilst training for her nursing degree – always with a smile and her care for the patients and passion for nursing is a real credit to our team. The team describe Lily as caring, friendly, lovely, gentle and enthusiastic.
